Job Summary

Insight Global is looking for a Senior Java / Angular Developer to design, develop, test, deploy, and support a mission-critical cash flow process application for a large financial services environment. This role is primarily backend-focused (60%) building resilient services and APIs, with 40% frontend work delivering modern, performant UI capabilities in Angular (v19). The ideal candidate brings deep Java expertise, strong recent Angular experience, and comfort working across Node.js

tooling and Oracle data layers.

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services and REST APIs in Java (Spring ecosystem preferred), supporting cash flow processing workflows and integrations.
• Build and enhance frontend features in Angular (v19), delivering clean, modular UI components and smooth user experiences.
• Collaborate in an Agile environment with engineers, QA, product, and stakeholders to deliver features across the full SDLC (design → build → test → deploy → support).
• Write high-quality, maintainable code; participate in code reviews, unit testing, and troubleshooting of defects/performance issues.
• Work with Oracle (SQL/PLSQL), optimizing queries and ensuring data integrity/performance for high-throughput processes.
• Use Node.js (and related tooling) where applicable for frontend build pipelines, utilities, or supporting services.
• Contribute to deployment/support practices (CI/CD awareness, environment stability, and documentation).

• 7+ years professional experience in Java backend development (enterprise-grade applications).
• Proven experience building RESTful APIs and service-based architectures.
• Strong hands-on experience with Angular, with most recent project work using modern Angular (client is on Angular v19).
• Strong Type Script/JavaScript fundamentals and component-based UI development experience.
• Hands-on Node.js experience (tooling and/or services).
• Strong experience with Oracle (SQL, schema concepts, query tuning; PL/SQL a plus).
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams; strong communication and collaboration skills.

• Background in financial services, especially treasury, cash management, payments, liquidity, or cash flow operations.
• Experience with Spring Boot / Hibernate (or similar Java frameworks), microservices patterns, and messaging/event-driven systems.
• CI/CD familiarity (e.g., automated builds/deployments), container basics, and cloud exposure.
