Lead AI Developer

Our client, a leading organization in the financial services industry, is seeking a Lead AI Developer to join their team. As a Lead AI Developer, you will be part of the Data & AI department supporting innovative AI solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a collaborative mindset, and the ability to translate complex architecture into actionable development tasks, which will align successfully in the organization.

Lead AI Developer

Charlotte, North Carolina

• Design and build agentic AI applications, including multi-step agents, tool‑using agents, and workflow orchestration.
• Architect RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) pipelines, vector search patterns, and retrieval strategies.
• Implement agent orchestration using frameworks such as Lang Chain, Lang Graph, MCP, and modern agent workflow engines.
• Develop prototypes, proof-of-concepts, and production systems enabling automation of complex multi-step business processes.
• Ensure all AI agents implement guardrails, governance, and compliance controls to meet enterprise standards.

• 5–8+ years of software engineering experience with at least 2–3 years hands‑on in modern LLM/AI development.
• Demonstrated experience building and deploying agentic AI applications in real-world settings.
• Strong expertise with Lang Chain / Lang Graph, RAG pipelines, MCP (Model Context Protocol), or similar agent toolcalling/orchestration methods.
• Building multi‑agent workflows and tool integrations.
• Hands‑on experience with vector stores, embeddings, evaluation approaches, and LLM application lifecycle.
