Full Stack React/Node Developer

6 month contract to hire position. Cannot provide sponsorship.

Overview

This role is part of an initiative to bring a proprietary interface (third‑party platform) back in house, improving customer experience and transforming the bank at high visibility. The project involves rebuilding the digital interface for web and mobile, impacting Retail, Consumer, and Small Business channels, with delivery by the end of the year.

Responsibilities
  • Plan, design, develop, configure, document, deploy, troubleshoot, and maintain First Horizon software applications and services.
  • Develop, maintain, and support the Internet Banking applications.
  • Lead and collaborate with developers, business analysts, product managers, and QA/testing staff to deliver a secure and top‑notch digital experience.
  • Write clean, testable code using JavaScript/Type Script, HTML, CSS, React, Tailwind, Next.js or similar frameworks.
  • Implement automated tests with Jest, Playwright, and integrate CI/CD pipelines (Git Hub Actions, Jenkins).
  • Deploy containerized applications in cloud environments (Kubernetes, Azure, Cloud Bees).
  • Work independently and as part of a team to develop new features, resolve issues, and defects.
  • Participate in technical design sessions and provide ownership of solutions.
  • Available for on‑call support 24/7 on a rotational basis.
Required Technical Skills
  • Strong object‑oriented analysis and design skills.
  • Proficiency in JavaScript, Type Script, HTML, CSS, Tailwind.
  • Experience with React, Next.js, or similar frameworks.
  • Experience with automated testing frameworks (Jest, Playwright).
  • Experience deploying containerized applications in a cloud environment (e.g., Kubernetes).
  • Development experience with complex, multi‑tiered web application environments.
  • Knowledge of SQL queries and stored procedures (plus).
  • Experience with Dynatrace (bonus).
  • Financial services experience (plus).
Preferred Technical Skills
  • Node.js, Express, Azure, Cloud Bees, Jenkins, Apigee, Docker, Kubernetes.

Location & Work‑Style

Contract to hire position based out of Charlotte, NC. Fully onsite.

Pay range:  55.00 –  75.00/hr.
