Optomi, in partnership with a leading financial services organization, is seeking an innovative and passionate Front‑End Mobile Developer to help build the next generation of award‑winning online auto and banking applications used by millions of customers. The ideal candidate will be driven by design, innovation, and user experience—developing dynamic, responsive mobile applications that push the boundaries of front‑end technology. This position offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative, Agile environment and play a key role in delivering world‑class digital products.

Location: Hybrid (3 days onsite) in Charlotte, NC or Detroit, MI — Charlotte preferred.

Eligibility: Must live within a 40‑mile radius of one of these offices and be authorized to work in the U.S. (no visa sponsorship available).

Experience of the Right Candidate

The right candidate will bring:

  • Proficiency with version control systems (Git, Bitbucket, Git Lab) and collaborative Agile workflows.
  • Familiarity with cross‑platform mobile development frameworks (React Native, Flutter, Ionic).
  • Experience writing high‑quality, testable, maintainable, and well‑documented code.
  • Exposure to native mobile languages such as Kotlin, Objective‑C, Jetpack Compose, or Swift UI is a plus.
  • Awareness of 508 Compliance/Web Accessibility and REST API consumption using asynchronous methods.
  • Excellent communication skills, a team‑oriented mindset, and a commitment to delivering quality software.
  • Education:

    Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience—5+ years at a senior developer level).
Responsibilities of the Right Candidate
  • Partner with business, UX design, and back‑end API teams to develop innovative digital products using Agile methodologies.
  • Lead and contribute to feature development for mobile and web‑based customer experiences.
  • Design, implement, and test new front‑end features and reusable components.
  • Conduct and participate in peer code reviews to ensure code quality and maintainability.
  • Collaborate on reviewing business requirements, technical designs, and performance testing plans.
  • Mentor and guide junior developers, promoting best practices and technical excellence.
  • Participate in ongoing discussions on front‑end architecture, standards, and innovation strategies.
  • Maintain a strong focus on performance optimization, accessibility, and responsive design principles.
