Job Description

We are seeking a Software Engineer with strong experience in Amazon Aurora Postgre

SQL RDS, Oracle RDS 19c

, AWS Cloud services
, and Agile development practices
, along with proficiency in Java
. This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining scalable cloud-based applications and databases, ensuring high performance and reliability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Develop:
    Build and maintain cloud-native applications and services using AWS technologies, Aurora Postgre

    SQL and Oracle 19c.
  • Database Expertise:
    Implement and optimize relational database solutions on Aurora Postgre

    SQL, including schema design, query tuning, and migration tasks.
  • Cloud Architecture:
    Leverage AWS services (EC2, RDS, Lambda, S3, DMS, Glue, etc.) to design secure, scalable, and cost-efficient solutions.
  • Agile Delivery:
    Participate in Agile ceremonies, contribute to sprint planning, and deliver high-quality code in iterative cycles.
  • Java Development:
    Write production-ready Java code for APIs, microservices, and backend systems following best practices.
  • Automation & CI/CD:
    Implement automated testing and deployment pipelines using tools like Jenkins, Maven, and Git.
  • Collaboration:

    Work closely with product owners, architects, and cross-functional teams to deliver business-critical solutions.
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience
  • Three to five years of relevant experience
Preferred Skills/Experience
  • Hands-on experience with Aurora Postgre

    SQL RDS, Oracle RDS and relational database design.
  • Strong knowledge of AWS Cloud services and cloud-native application development.
  • Proficiency in Java, including frameworks like Spring Boot.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
  • Understanding of Dev Ops principles, CI/CD pipelines, and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).
  • Solid grasp of data structures, algorithms, and software design patterns.
  • AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Developer or Solutions Architect).
  • Experience with performance tuning and troubleshooting in cloud environments.
  • Strong:
    Ability to clearly articulate ideas and collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment and embracing new technologies.
  • Team Player:

Location Expectations

This role requires working from a U.S. Bank location three (3) or more days per week.
