Akkodis is seeking a GenAI Engineer with Python for a Contract (W2) with a client in Plano TX/Charlotte, NC/Jersey City, NJ/Kennesaw, GA - Hybrid - (3 days onsite in a week). Ideally, we are looking for candidates with a strong background in AI, Artificial Intelligence, AI/ML, GenAI, LLMs, Microsoft copilot/ AI foundry/ Copilot studio, Lang Graph, Python, HTML, CSS, API and Rest
Pay Range: $68 -$70/hour;
The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
- Design, develop and maintain high-quality Java applications at the company.
- Collaborate with teams in other departments to identify and prioritize requirements.
- Develop best practices for the company and participate in code reviews with the team and other stakeholders.
- Conduct technical analysis to arrive at solutions and create technological artefacts in response to production issues.
- 10+ years of demonstrable experience in Python development. Additional Java is also a plus
- Strong knowledge of Python languages and web API development frameworks like Spring, rest APIs, and RESTEASY
- Working knowledge of database technologies (Redis and Oracle). Vector database is a plus, Linux OS and Windows.
- Microsoft copilot, AI foundry, copilot studio and Azure is a BIG plus.
- Demonstrable expertise in various technical areas, including programming, network administration, and software installation and configuration.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with organizational capabilities.
- Experience with IT project management methodologies, such as Agile or Scrum.
- Familiarity with AI technologies (RAG and LLMs are a big plus). Our application is Python/Java but using LLM to deliver value.
- Understand Model development with Generative AI such as GPT, Llamaindex, langchain etc
- Openshift container experience is a plus.
- A Bachelors or Masters degree in software engineering, computer science, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications such as Java Certified Professional (OCP).
- Knowledge of container or cloud computing technologies (Red Hat openshift container platform, Azure).
- Familiarity with agile software development methodologies (Agile or Scrum).
- Experience with CI/CD Dev Ops practices and tools (Git, Jenkins, and Docker).
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with good teamwork capabilities.
