We are looking for an experienced application developer to join our sanctions development team within AML Technology s on-site (5 days a week) role requires a strong background in developing, configuring, and integrating financial crimes risk management solutions and delivering technically complex solutions.

Responsibilities
  • Develop customized coding, software integration, perform analysis, and configure solutions using project-specific tools.
  • Lead and participate in the development, testing, implementation, maintenance, and support of high‑complexity solutions, ensuring robust unit testing and support for release testing.
  • Build non‑functional monitoring capabilities and provide escalated support for highly complex applications in production.
  • Build and maintain security controls and monitoring to support company standards; lead moderately complex projects and assist teammates with less experience.
  • Oversee the work of a small team as needed.
  • In an Agile environment, deliver high‑quality working software, automate reusable tasks, engage with business owners, refine user stories, develop automated unit testing, support integration and functional testing, provide monitoring capabilities, warranty support, and knowledge transfer to production support.
Qualifications

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree and 4–7 years of experience or equivalent education and software engineering training.
  • In‑depth knowledge of information systems and ability to identify, apply, and implement IT best practices.
  • Understanding of key business processes and competitive strategies related to IT.
  • Ability to plan and manage projects and solve complex problems using best practices.
  • Ability to provide direction and mentor less experienced teammates; interpret and convey complex, sensitive information.
Preferred Qualifications
  • College degree in Computer Science, Math or related field; eight years of experience or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of specific applications, technology platforms, programming languages, systems, or business segments.
  • Banking or financial services experience and knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and software design.
  • Experience with business requirements and configuring applications.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD using Git Hub and Jenkins;
    Git‑based application code development and Dev Ops Engineering.
  • Experience building high‑quality apps or services from the ground up and scaling at an enterprise level.
  • Experience with open‑source tools and frameworks.
  • Experience with cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Strong understanding of SOA, Open API, and service architectures.
  • Experience using web servers, application containers, and caching technologies.
  • Solid knowledge of relational database design and development (SQL, stored procedures, data modeling).
  • Experience with messaging systems such as MQ and JMS.
  • Experience with build tools including Git, Maven, and Jenkins; proven ability to write comprehensive unit and integration tests.
Desired Skill Set
  • Proficiency in PL/SQL, Oracle SQL, T‑SQL, scripting (Java, Bash, Power Shell, AWK, Python), Spring Boot, REST, SOAP, Git, Maven, Jenkins, HTML, XML, Applets.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills.
  • PMP certification – a plus.
  • IIBA's CBAP – a plus.
  • Excellent communication.
Working Conditions
  • Sitting – >50 % of the time; standing – 25‑50 %; walking – 25‑50 %.
  • Visual/audio/speaking – must read and interpret computer data and communicate with individuals.
  • Manual dexterity/key‑boarding – use PC keyboard, mouse, printers, copy/fax machines.
  • Availability – all hours scheduled, including overtime and business‑need work.
  • Travel – minimal, up to 10 %.
