- Locates buried facilities near the route of "B" service wire using appropriate equipment. Operate a company vehicle with trailer and machinery.
- Locate buried facilities near the route of buried wire using appropriate equipment.
- Manual excavation utilizing a shovel.
- Provide repairs to low voltage buried utilities or sprinkler systems. Provides temporary repairs to low voltage buried utilities, sprinkler systems, and sewage field lines damaged while performing other duties.
- Periodic maintenance and non-complex repairs to equipment used in the performance of other responsibilities.
- Reads and interprets simple instructions.
- Follow established safety practices and procedures including the manufacturer s specifications for operation or use of equipment.
- Desire to work Monday through Friday with a shift length of 8hrs.
- Ability to work mandatory overtime and holidays as service conditions require.
- Eager to work outside in all kinds of weather conditions.
- Able to utilize various types of machines and tools.
- Lift and move objects up to 120 pounds.
- Use computers including hand-held devices to update work status and check new assignments.
- Light commercial driver’s license or equivalent required, depending on state law and be able to drive manual shift in some assignments.
- Attain and maintain a DOT medical card.
- Complete on-the-job and/or classroom training as required.
- Demonstrate competency in the training requirements during probationary period to satisfy qualification achievement.
- Previous operating experience with similar equipment is desirable.
- Perform the above job duties with or without "reasonable accommodation.”
- May be required to go out of region/state due to workload and emergency work.
- Weekly earnings between $442 – $1,094; starting salary around $51,064 per year, with additional rewards such as health insurance, tuition reimbursement, and paid time off.
