Facilities Maintenance Electrician (5:45am - 2:15pm)
Pay ($34.45 - $38.70) + $5,000 Sign‑On Bonus
Job SummaryThe Facilities Maintenance Electrician maintains existing electrical system infrastructure to ensure a safe and reliable electrical environment for all employees, contractors, and visitors. The role also involves maintaining facilities and production equipment to operate in the safest and most productive condition, supporting continuous improvement, production strategies, and plant reliability initiatives.
EssentialJob Duties
- Understand and adhere to governmental regulatory programs and policies, including NFPA 70 National Electric Code, NFPA 70B Electrical Maintenance, NFPA 70E Arc Flash Electrical Safety, and NFPA 79 Electrical Standard for Industrial Machinery.
- Understand and adhere to Campbell’s Company Inc. company programs and policies.
- Practice and comply with all Campbell’s Company Inc. safety programs and procedures including Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO), Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), Confined Space Entry, Fire Suppression Impairment Process, Hot Work Permits, Arc Flash, 5S, etc.
- Apply Good Manufacturing Practices and Sanitary Design Principles.
- Attend classes, seminars, and in‑house training as needed to maintain skill level with industry changes.
- Provide input to improve current maintenance, reliability, and production programs and strategies.
- Provide and receive support and cross‑training from other maintenance positions.
- Execute and document planned work during shift utilizing Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- Execute and resolve equipment breakdowns and repairs utilizing methodologies such as Root Cause Analysis (RCA), 5W2H, Break Down Failure Analysis (BDFA), Cause Mapping, etc.
- Utilize and support predictive maintenance (PDM) technologies such as Thermal Imaging, HIPOT Testing, and Electrical Current Analysis to identify potential failures and perform follow‑up actions.
- Apply knowledge of technical documentation such as electrical drawings, mechanical drawings, Pipe and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&), and technical manuals to improve equipment reliability and safety.
- Apply industry knowledge to troubleshoot hardware such as PLCs, VFDs, Building Automation Systems, Fire Alarm Control Panels, etc.
- Participate in required plant inspections: OSHA, NFPA, Sustainability, Fire, Switchgear & Breaker Testing, Electrical Upgrade Surveys, New Equipment Installation Evaluations, Daily Zone Inspections.
- Work closely with cross‑functional teams to develop and improve capital processes by recommending needed facility and equipment improvements or replacements.
- Work variable hours across all shifts to assist in business‑related projects.
- Participate in on‑call rotation with other members of the facilities team.
- Work during site outages including weekends (occasionally), holidays, & off shifts (occasionally).
- Assist in purchasing and inventory control of spare parts and make recommendations for electrical spare parts.
- Repair, replace, or upgrade facility–related equipment as needed.
- Perform Electro‑mechanical Preventative Maintenance (PM) as required.
- Verify results of PDM infrared scans and evaluate electrical issues to develop a plan of action for needed repairs.
- Perform other job‑related projects, duties, and assignments as required.
- Have knowledge of NEC installations, sizing electrical feeders, raceway installations, branch circuits, overcurrent/short‑circuit protection, NEC box‑fill calculations, and NEC Article 250 grounding requirements.
- Be able to bend and install rigid conduit runs and pull wire terminating into diverse types of panel boxes following arc flash and NFPA‑70E safety requirements.
This position does not have direct supervisory responsibilities but frequently requires the employee to act in a “lead” role.
