Overview
ABM Industries is seeking General Maintenance Technicians to join our team. The General maintenance technician is responsible for assisting with general repairs and inspections involving basic electrical, mechanical and plumbing in a commercial building located in Charlotte, NC.
Responsibilities- Assist with general repairs and inspections involving basic electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems in a commercial building.
- Run wire, replace fuses, install outlets, switches and fixtures.
- Perform basic plumbing maintenance, run a snake, cut PVC pipe, patch drywall, and paint.
- Perform basic HVAC maintenance, such as replacing filters, thermostats, and conducting fan inspections; ensure proper operation of equipment and building systems.
- Adequately fill out work orders and preventive maintenance documentation.
- Report to a lead maintenance technician and receive guidance on daily maintenance activities.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Must possess a valid, unexpired driver's license.
- 1–2 years of general maintenance experience preferred, or formal education/background related to the field of work.
(Full time) 1st shift: 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM.
