Works as a senior electrician at Charlotte Douglas International Airport, primarily performing high level work installing wiring, plugs, cabling, lights and switches; locating and repairing malfunctions in electrical circuits/equipment; inspecting, servicing, testing, performing PMs and repairing systems. Performs other general maintenance work incidental to above duties as necessary to keep buildings in working order, including basic HVAC and plumbing.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities- Installation, preventive maintenance, and repair of electrical and mechanical systems.
- Provide lead direction and training to other employees while working in the field.
- General building maintenance work incidental to above duties or necessary to keep buildings in working order.
- Compile lists of equipment, tools and supplies needed.
- Operate cars, vans, bucket trucks and other heavy equipment.
- Inspects assigned Airport construction projects. Coordinates work with contracted construction inspectors and tenants.
- Extensive knowledge of other airport systems including HVAC, plumbing, generators, data emergency systems, aircraft fueling systems and electrical vehicle chargers.
- Subject to emergency call back for equipment repairs and inclement weather.

Required Education and Experience
- High School diploma (or GED equivalent)
- Three years of related experience
- Any equivalent combination of training, education, and experience that provides the required skills, knowledge, and abilities.
Required Licenses Or Certifications
- State Issued Driver’s License
Knowledge Of
- Thorough knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems including cabling and communications wiring.
- North Carolina Electrical Code and building codes.
