This position is empowered by the Maintenance Supervisor to build and maintain a collaborative work environment while consistently delivering the highest quality customer service.

What

You’ll Do
  • Responsible for light maintenance, i.e., trashing vacant apartments, removing carpet, etc.
  • Responsible for light landscaping duties, i.e., weeding, watering, planting flowers, etc.
  • Routinely inspect and maintain buildings and property to ensure appearance of the community is consistent with company standards and applicable federal, state, and local laws.
  • Assist maintenance staff in ensuring Make Ready units are consistent with basic principles of electrical, plumbing, mechanical, HVAC, carpentry, painting, drywall, appliances, keys, and locks.
  • Perform snow removal when needed.
  • Provide high‑quality customer service according to GCI’s customer service principles to maximize resident retention.
Requirements
  • General maintenance experience/knowledge in HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, electrical preferred.
  • Dedication to exceeding all customer needs with ability to build and maintain relationships.
  • Demonstrate thoroughness, self‑motivation, and organization when accomplishing tasks.
  • Ability to work a non‑traditional schedule including evenings, weekends, and on‑call hours as needed.
Education, Licenses, and Certifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver's license required.
