Security Supervisor

Scope:

Maintains a safe and secure environment for tenants, employees, and visitors by enforcing safety policies, providing ongoing supervision to the Northwood Office Security staff, and conducting preventative inspections of the facilities.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Oversees site security, daily operation to ensure standard of security services for tenants, employees, customers, stakeholders, visitors, etc. and physical and information assets, are consistently met to include on-call support to team as needed.

• Supervision of security personnel during response to emergency situations, rendering first aid or fire suppression procedures according to departmental policy.

• Assists with coordination of employee onboarding, team training, safety training and associated documentation. Facilitates and participates in departmental training programs.
• Oversees security personnel in ensuring secure facilities, equipment, assets, and conducts preventative safety and security inspections of the facility and observation activities.

• Recruitment, scheduling, and deployment of staff to ensure full coverage of assigned post(s), to include extra coverage and special events.

• Oversee team's use of various systems to include but not limited to Building Engines work order and incident management system and Guardtrax.

• Oversees daily inspections, weekly security vehicle mileage report, monitors and coordinates vehicle maintenance.

• Maintains client confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential.

• Prioritizes customer requests and successful resolutions.

• Consistently maintains a professional image, conduct and demeanor.

• Adheres to and assists in the development of departmental policies, company policies, and the directives of Northwood Office Security

• Assists the Senior Security Manager as a liaison between management and local police, fire service, and emergency medical services.

Qualifications:

Certifications/License(s) Required: Valid Motor Vehicle Operators License, must successfully complete CPR Certification (American Red Cross or American Heart Association) within the first year of employment.

Education/ Experience: High School diploma or equivalent. Previous supervisory experience in one or more of the following fields:
Security, law enforcement, fire fighter, emergency medical services, private investigator, safety instructor or specialist.

Skills:

• Knowledge of NC General Statutes and governmental law pertaining to private property, OSHA, emergency planning and CCTV.
• CPR/ first aid techniques
• Strong criminal and accident investigation skills
• Strong organizational and project management skills.
• Demonstrated ability in policy development, documentation, and implementation.
• Strong effective communicator in writing, business presentations and in interpersonal communication.
• Demonstrates a high degree of confidentiality.

Working Conditions:

• Ability to work 2nd and 3rd shifts. May be required to work alternate hours to cover shifts and be on call as needed.

• Requires flexibility in a fast-paced environment.
