Security Officer - Armed Bank Patrol Driver in Charlotte, NC
, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer supporting a financial institution location where your visible presence and routine patrols help to deter security-related incidents. You will conduct perimeter and interior checks, respond to alarms and urgent situations, and communicate clearly with staff and visitors while delivering outstanding customer service.

This is an armed and driving post, offering a dynamic assignment where integrity, teamwork, and a people-first culture guide every shift.

Responsibilities
  • Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and contractors at a financial institution location by following security procedures, site policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Perform armed post duties in accordance with policies, post orders, and applicable laws and licensing requirements.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly, escalating concerns through the appropriate chain of command.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of the building, lobby, ATM and night depository areas, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Control access at entry points by verifying identification, authorizing entry, and directing individuals to appropriate areas.
  • Monitor alarms, surveillance, and access control systems; report irregular conditions or suspicious activity.
  • Assist with opening and closing procedures, including checking doors, gates, and restricted areas for irregularities.
  • Observe and report hazards, damaged property, and maintenance issues, submitting notifications per site procedures.
  • Complete incident reports, shift logs, and other required documentation in a timely manner.
  • Coordinate with law enforcement and/or emergency services when requested by site leadership and/or per post orders.
  • Support de‑escalation efforts during disruptive situations using professional communication and requesting additional assistance as needed.
  • Conduct vehicle and/or foot patrols of parking areas and drive lanes; work environments vary by location and assignment.
Minimum Requirements / Qualifications
  • 3+ years' combined law enforcement, military, or security experience, or a college degree.
  • Be at least 21 years of age (for armed roles).
  • Valid driver’s license (driving positions require it per policy).
  • Guard card/license is preferred; armed guard card/license is preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Background investigation required in accordance with federal, state, and local laws.
  • Qualified applications with criminal histories will be considered in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • Drug screen required, as permitted by law.
  • Participation in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state/local laws and may be required prior to employment.
