Our client is the leading distributor for value-added services & aluminum extrusions and sheet products. With over 18 locations our client is looking for their next leader. Someone who has executive level presence, leadership and energy.
The Regional Sales Manager (RSM) owns the sales department. This individual will lead and manage a team of outside and/or inside sales members by developing the team and motivating them to meet company sales and profit initiatives. The RSM will report to the Regional Vice President and work with the leadership team to help the Region provide superior customer experiences internally and externally.

Responsibilities- Directs sales activity by leading the outside and/or inside sales teams, communicating the needs of the customer across the organization and reporting performance / market trends for the business
- Facilitates the sales planning and execution process to support organizational growth objectives including defining, measuring and improving divisional and account-based sales activities
- Continually analyze current sales trends, market conditions and other pertinent information to drive the Sales and Operations Planning process to ensure all areas are capable of meeting customer needs
- Develops and maintains a robust, cadenced revenue and forecasting plan based on new program wins/losses, market trends, and works with supply chain managers to advise on the needs to support sales objectives.
- Works with key market managers to develop the product roadmap for future-generation products or markets
- Develop, compile, and facilitate executive reporting on market and customer trends and feedback
- Sponsors commercial engagement with other divisions in pursuit of overall company growth and increased value proposition to strategic customers and markets
- Fosters continuous engagement with customers including customer visits, facilitation of on-site meetings and attendance/participation in industry-based trade shows
- Drives talent development, by accelerating intentional development experiences to strengthen talent pipeline to continuously elevate sales competencies and capabilities.
- Leads and manages the Division’s sales team engaging in hiring, coaching, reviewing, establishing goals and performance management activities
- Customer Problem Solving:
Leads commercial discussion and/or actions related to solving concerns introduced by our customers - Form intimate relationships with Top Tier customers, and develop an in depth knowledge of other mid-upper level customers/prospects as directed.
- Clean driving record free of violations or other major convictions such as careless and reckless driving, hit and run, etc. over the past 5 years is necessary
- Must be willing to sign our standard non-compete agreement
- Prior outside sales experience is required
- Management experience is preferred and/or a demonstrated ability to provide leadership and mentoring
