ObjectiveThe Wholesale Area Manager works closely with the Directors of Sales, Regional Directors of Operations and Regional Product Management to align Wholesale Branches with overall company and regional strategies. This role focuses on increasing sales, profitability and market share in the assigned market by working with Branch Sales Managers and Branch Sales Reps while driving key operational performance metrics. The manager critiques branch merchandising, operating systems, policies, procedures and processes for opportunities to improve.
They foster collaboration and development in their markets and assist in recruiting and developing Branch Sales Associates to build a strong pipeline for our Wholesale Branches.
- Customer-oriented approach with the ability to coach employees and understand customer needs.
- Oversee the branch operations and sales & profitability goals for a group of Wholesale branches in an assigned market.
- Formulate strategies and action plans to maximize sales at each Wholesale branch in the assigned market.
- Ensure that each Wholesale branch implements and maintains the highest level of customer service.
- Work directly with local sales teams to develop strategies for increased traffic in the Wholesale branch and gather dealer feedback on customer service efforts.
- Participate in recruiting to hire and train new Sales Associates, Branch Sales Reps, and Wholesale Branch Sales Managers; manage branches to develop, coach and motivate teams to achieve high professional standards and monthly sales and EBIT targets.
- Conduct regular audits and business reviews using BI tools to identify opportunities to increase sales and profitability.
- Demonstrate effective communication, integrity and personal accountability.
- Maintain excellent time management, organization and planning skills; be a self-starter capable of handling multiple projects.
- Develop leaders in the Wholesale Branches to maintain a healthy leadership pipeline.
- Analyze situations and recommend improvements to operational processes.
- Communicate effectively to a wide range of skill levels and deliver strong presentations.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; high energy, enthusiasm, and a passion for sales; solid work ethic.
