Account Manager – Ambulatory Surgery Center
Job Summary The Surgery Center Account Manager manages the relationship with existing accounts. Responsible for managing a book of business for existing accounts and generating revenue on assigned accounts. Serve as the primary interface for all products and services and create demand for the organization’s products and services. Build and maintain effective long‑term relationships with a defined customer base to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
Job DescriptionMedline has a need for an experienced B2B field sales or field‑based account manager in the Columbia, SC area.
Responsibilities- Calling on ambulatory surgery centers within the assigned territory. The team sells surgical procedure trays, DME, anesthesia, surgical gloves, infection prevention, endoscopy kits, IV fluid management, drapes and gowns, surgical hand antiseptic, and other disposables.
- Making sales presentations to multiple decision makers.
- Establishing and nurturing client relationships.
- Developing strong relationships with key decision makers.
- Maintaining existing business and presenting new products.
- Preparing bids and price quotes.
- Regular cold calling.
- Bachelor’s degree and at least 2 years of quota‑based sales experience demonstrating a background in cold calling, commissioned, full‑cycle sales experience OR at least 5 years of quota‑based sales experience demonstrating a background in cold calling, commissioned, full‑cycle sales experience.
- Track record of demonstrable sales growth and quota attainment.
- Ability to present multiple product lines.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Computer proficiency especially in MS Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Ability to drive a car, travel in that car 90% of each day, and interact with healthcare providers on site is required.
The anticipated compensation for this position includes a minimum of $100,000 in guaranteed earnings for the first year (base plus commission). This role is also bonus eligible. Medline will not pay less than the applicable minimum wage or salary threshold.
