Overview
Are you a strategic sales leader ready to make a national impact? Modern Construction Services is seeking a Business Development Manager (BDM) to drive growth across our facilities maintenance and construction services. This is an opportunity to lead client acquisition, manage multi-site relationships, and shape scalable sales strategies for national accounts. Base Salary: $75,000. Commission:
Variable, based on performance, with On-Target Earnings up to $125,000. Consideration for hybrid remote schedule after a evaluation/settling-in period.
- Business Development & Sales:
Identify new construction and maintenance opportunities and target clients including developers, property managers, and architects - Business Development & Sales:
Drive new business through prospecting, networking, and cold outreach, managing the full sales cycle - Business Development & Sales:
Build and maintain relationships with multi-site clients to ensure consistent service and scalable growth - Business Development & Sales:
Develop national sales strategies targeting regional and multi-location accounts - Business Development & Sales:
Partner with operations and account teams to onboard clients and implement retention strategies - Business Development & Sales:
Collaborate across departments to develop and present tailored, profitable proposals
- Marketing & Brand Management:
Develop and manage social media strategy and content across digital platforms to enhance brand visibility, drive engagement, and support marketing goals - Marketing & Brand Management:
Manage company presence at trade shows and industry events - Marketing & Brand Management:
Oversee creation and updates of marketing materials and digital content
- CRM & Data Management:
Maintain accurate CRM data for clients, prospects, and pipeline - CRM & Data Management:
Optimize CRM workflows and reporting to improve team efficiency - CRM & Data Management:
Integrate CRM with service platforms to streamline onboarding and tracking - CRM & Data Management:
Utilize tools like Salesforce, Hub Spot, Zoho CRM, and Microsoft Dynamics - CRM & Data Management:
Apply knowledge of service tracking tools such as Procore, Service Trade, FMX, and Up Keep
- Industry Knowledge & Reporting:
Monitor industry trends and competitor activity to inform strategy - Industry Knowledge & Reporting:
Identify growth markets and build strategic partnerships with national firms - Industry Knowledge & Reporting:
Tailor approaches for client segments including retail, healthcare, and education - Industry Knowledge & Reporting:
Deliver accurate forecasts, pipeline reports, and marketing performance insights - Industry Knowledge & Reporting:
Track KPIs including client acquisition, retention, and service expansion
- Experience:
Minimum of 3 years of proven success in business development, sales, or account management, with a track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets - Industry Preference:
Familiarity with construction trades, facilities maintenance, general contracting, architecture, or related professional services is highly desirable - Strong proficiency in presentation software and excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated experience using and managing CRM systems such as Salesforce, Hub Spot, Zoho CRM, or Microsoft Dynamics for sales tracking and reporting
- Highly motivated, results-oriented, strategic thinker, and a strong collaborator
- Ability and willingness to travel as needed to meet clients and attend industry events
