Description
SUMMARY
Drives growth for Goodwill’s Professional Development Programs and fee‑for‑service contracts. Executes sales strategies, building relationships with prospective clients, and converting leads into revenue. Champions Goodwill’s mission, collaborates with internal teams, and represent the organization at industry events and in the community by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Leads and executes comprehensive sales strategies to maximize diverse contract growth for Goodwill’s Professional Development Programs and Services.
- Identifies, qualifies, and acquires new customers via phone, in‑person visits, social media, networking, and community events. Builds and sustains long‑term relationships with clients, industry partners, and stakeholders.
- Prepares proposals, delivers presentations, and negotiates contract prices within bill rate guidelines. Articulates the value and impact of Goodwill’s Professional Development Programs and Services to potential clients.
- Represents Goodwill’s Professional Development Programs and Services in industry events, conferences, expos and networking activities to expand reach and visibility.
- Remains informed of industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments.
- Works closely with workforce services and internal teams to align sales opportunities with organizational goals and ensures contract offerings support workforce development objectives.
- Tracks sales activities, pipeline, and outcomes using Customer Relationship Management (CRM) System, internal systems and reporting tools. Ensures new customer and sales data are entered into databases and customer files. Maintains data quality and integrity.
- Engages in strategic conversations with companies regarding enhancing their employees’ careers and skills, demonstrating how Goodwill’s Professional Development Programs and Services meet their needs.
- Manages, grows, and reports on active and potential accounts. Finalizes agreements in collaboration with Legal & Compliance teams.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a four‑year college or university in Business, or related field and five to seven years of sales experience or related activities, or equivalent combination of education and five to seven years sales experience, preferably selling services or training programs.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Valid Driver's License (Class
C), car insurance and reliable automobile required.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly (more than 2/3 of the day) required to sit, talk or hear. The team member frequently (1/3 to 2/3 of the day) is required to use hands to finger, handle or feel. The team member is occasionally (less than 1/3 of the day) required to walk or stand. The team member must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and color vision. Occasional local travel required.
