Regional Sales Engineer – Inpro/Seal at Dover Precision Components
Dover Precision Components is hiring a Regional Sales Engineer for our Inpro/Seal brand, a world‑leading provider of permanent bearing protection and shaft sealing solutions. The role covers the North‑Carolina, South‑Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia and West‑Virginia markets, with preferred home bases in Charlotte, NC;
Raleigh/Durham, NC; or Richmond, VA.
$ per year – $ per year
Commission: uncapped, based on performance metrics.

Work arrangement:
Remote (driving within the territory will be required – company vehicle provided).
- Develop a strategic plan to acquire new customers and expand existing accounts.
- Identify, design, and execute sales techniques and training for customers, distributors, and representatives to increase volume and gross profit.
- Provide technical support and application expertise, ensuring the appropriate product fit.
- Collaborate with engineering and customer service to achieve high customer satisfaction.
- Foster effective relationships to manage customer satisfaction and sales potential.
- Schedule and often participate in product installations at customer sites; troubleshoot issues.
- Analyze market penetration, develop sales plans against competitors, and increase market share.
- Apply market positioning to implement and maintain appropriate pricing strategy.
- Mentor distributor sales teams and representatives.
- Deliver training and educational programs to customers, distributors, and end‑users.
- Conduct regular reviews with clients’ engineering/manufacturing staff to resolve bearing design, quality, or performance issues.
- Maintain accurate records of sales activity, pipeline development, and customer interactions.
- 5+ years of experience in sales or customer‑facing technical roles, preferably in rotating equipment.
- Bachelor’s or associate’s degree preferred, or equivalent experience.
- Strong understanding of mechanical applications and equipment reliability principles.
- Self‑starter, able to work independently and manage a sales territory.
- Skilled at understanding customer problems and delivering solutions that exceed expectations.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills; able to interface with all organizational levels.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Valid driver’s license; willingness to drive and stay overnight within the territory (company vehicle provided).
