As a Cashier at Sprouts Farmers Market, you are the face of the company while you process each customer’s order quickly, accurately, and efficiently while ensuring complete customer satisfaction through prompt and friendly service. You will accurately handle customer cash, credit/debit payments, and change, and assist customers by providing information and resolving their complaints. You will follow all front end procedures, assist with stocking shelves, facing and dusting as needed, and maintain knowledge of weekly ad items.

You will guide customers to product locations, stay informed about events and seminars, and maintain excellent communication with the front end manager and Head Cashier. You are expected to keep checkout areas clean and orderly and perform related duties as assigned.

• Be at least 18 years of age and have a high school diploma or equivalent, with 1-2 years of recent cashiering experience.
• Outgoing and friendly demeanor, positive attitude, and the ability to interact with customers.
• Ability to operate front end equipment: register, calculator, scanner.
• Dependable with the ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Good communication skills; ability to take direction and participate in a team environment.
• Ability to perform repetitious tasks, multi-task, prioritize and stay organized.
• Must lift/carry products up to 30 lbs., with related reach requirements, for up to 50 hours per week without mechanical assistance.
• Must use both hands to move grocery carts up to 35 lbs., for short distances, for up to 50 hours per week.
• Strong attention to detail and proficiency with numbers; cash handling and mathematical skills; ability to read, write and count.
