Retail Sales Associate

Overview

We are currently looking for the right Full-Time Retail Sales Associate to join our team. The position offers an hourly wage plus commission based on productivity. Pay rate ranges from $14.00 to $17.50 per hour. A commission structure pays you for every transaction you process.

We are seeking entry-level, full-time sales associates in our pawn store locations nationwide. The Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate partners with the entire staff of the store to ensure customer service on both the lending and retail sides of the business. The role involves greeting, engaging with customers, processing sales and loans, and handling a wide variety of merchandise, including tools, electronics, jewelry, and firearms (in FFL locations).

The full-time Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate earns an hourly wage plus commission. The actual pay depends on location, qualifications, and experience.

• Greet and interact with customers to develop rapport and recommend appropriate financial solutions.
• Perform non-management open/close procedures.
• Keep the sales floor clean, stocked, and merchandise displayed.
• Process sales and loan transactions in accordance with policies and regulatory requirements.
• Handle cash and negotiable items following policies and procedures.
• Answer incoming calls per company standards.
• Explain legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers.
• Communicate effectively with coworkers and managers; collaborate to create a positive customer experience.
• Complete assigned training and perform other related duties as needed.

• Must be willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds and perform duties for extended periods (standing, walking, stooping, climbing, etc.).
• Ability to work with firearms and become firearms certified (where applicable).
• Minimum age 18 years old;
  High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Strong desire to serve customers, be team-oriented, and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations and have cash handling experience preferred.
• Flexibility to work at multiple locations as needed; ability to work weekends and holidays; computer literate and able to operate POS systems.

Pawnbrokers have the potential to earn 2-8% commission based on personal performance. Details are provided during the interview process. Earned Wage Access is available via Net Spend (restrictions and fees apply).
