Express is seeking a Retail Sales Leader to join our team.

The Sales Leader drives operations on the sales floor and in the stockroom, while assisting in training associates and delivering a great in-store shopping experience for customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in developing and motivating associates to maximize sales potential.
  • Provide coaching and training to store associates to ensure efficient floor operations, customer service, coverage, stockroom management, and execution of standards.
  • Partner with Store Management to provide feedback on associate performance.
  • Assist in training associates on store operations, product knowledge, policies, and procedures.
  • Execute action plans to optimize results.
  • Manage all aspects of daily store operations.
  • Ensure appropriate associate coverage to create a great customer experience.
  • Oversee and authorize the checkout process.
  • Assist with merchandise flow, including shipment, replenishment, and omni-channel operations.
  • Monitor and analyze customer service provided by team members.
  • Build an effective schedule with the right staff at the right times.
  • Promote an environment focused on delivering excellent in-store customer experiences.
  • Resolve customer service issues effectively.
  • Lead and model the customer experience standards.
  • Display expert knowledge of products, company policies, promotions, and loyalty programs.
  • Support product launches, visual presentations, signage, and window changes.
  • Perform other duties as directed by your supervisor.
Required Experience & Qualifications
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 1 year of retail experience.
  • Proficient in the use of technology (iPad, registers).
  • Availability to work nights, weekends, and non-business hours.
  • Ability to meet physical requirements.
Critical Skills & Attributes
  • Previous retail experience preferred.
  • Effective communication skills with customers, peers, and supervisors.
  • Proven sales accountability.
  • Strong collaborative skills and team orientation.
  • Ability to multitask and handle multiple customers and processes simultaneously.
