We are hiring immediately for full time COOK positions.

Location:

Novant Health Ballantyne - 10905 Providence Road West, Charlotte, North Carolina 28277.

Schedule:

Full time;
Days and hours may vary. 3-1-2 rotating schedule with 10-hour shifts, including every other weekend. More details upon interview.

Requirements:
One year of prior cooking experience is required.

Fixed Pay Rate: $18.00 per hour.

• Prepares food in accordance with established policies and procedures, following standardized recipes and instructions to meet production, delivery and service schedules. Ensures quality food service at all times.
• Serves meals or prepares for delivery with correct portioning, appropriate temperatures, and appealing presentation. Tastes all prepared food items.
• Uses established ticketing procedures during service and maintains records from the area worked during service periods.
• Cleans kitchen after preparation and serving; stores or discards excess food per safe handling procedures.
• Keeps refrigerators and storerooms clean and organized; stores food and supplies according to standards.
• Operates and maintains kitchen equipment as instructed.
• Assists in production planning, record-keeping and reporting as required.
• Assists in ordering and receiving all food and supplies as required.
• Reports needed maintenance, faulty equipment or accidents to the supervisor immediately.
• Attends in-service and safety meetings and maintains good working relationships with coworkers and managers.
• Performs job duties safely in a clean, safe work environment and adheres to all company policies and procedures.
• Performs other duties as assigned and ensures proper presentation, portion control and maintenance of serving temperatures; follows HACCP standards.
• Maintains personal safety and the safety of others.
• Abides by all company policies and procedures including the use of gloves, oven mitts or other protective gear as required, slip-resistant shoes and proper lifting techniques.

• One year of prior cooking experience is required.
