Position Summary

The Statistical Analyst is responsible for using mathematical and statistical techniques to analyze and interpret data, identifying patterns and insights to help Catholic Charities make informed business and programmatic decisions. The Statistical Analyst collects, organizes, and evaluates data, designs statistical models, and reports findings to facilitate a data-driven operational environment.

Responsibilities
  • Gathers, cleans, and organizes data from various sources within the agency and external sources, including databases, surveys, and other records.
  • Applies statistical techniques to analyze data, identify patterns/trends, and draw conclusions about the effectiveness of programs/interventions; identifies areas for program improvement, develops recommendations for changes, and tracks the progress of change initiatives.
  • Provides expert-level data analysis to stakeholders, including program managers, the Board of Directors, policymakers, and the public.
  • Collaborates with other staff members, researchers, and stakeholders to ensure that data analysis is used effectively to inform decision-making and improve outcomes.
  • Produces agency-wide EOS Scorecard and supports creation of L10 specific scorecards.
  • Produces detailed data analysis of financial operations and development trends.
  • Provides expert-level support for statistical analyses across the agency.
  • Prepares clear and concise reports and presentations summarizing findings.
Other Responsibilities
  • Participates in staff meetings, staff trainings, and development activities.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • A graduate’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Educational Research Methodology, or a related field is required.
  • Strong background in statistical theory and applications, including techniques like linear regression, logistic regression, and multivariate analysis.
  • Proficiency in statistical software (e.g., SAS, SPSS, STATA), programming languages, and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
  • Ability to identify and solve problems using data analysis.
  • Ability to analyze data and draw meaningful conclusions.
Working Environment

Responsibilities of the Statistical Analyst may involve travel and work beyond the regularly scheduled workday and work week.
