We are seeking a dynamic and motivated full time Leasing Consultant to join our property management team! In this energetic role, you will be the first point of contact for prospective residents, guiding them through the leasing process with enthusiasm and professionalism. Your expertise in property leasing, customer service, and legal administrative procedures will ensure a seamless experience for applicants while maintaining compliance.
This position offers an exciting opportunity to engage with diverse clients, manage leasing operations efficiently, and contribute to the vibrant community we serve.
- Greet prospective tenants warmly and provide comprehensive tours of available properties, highlighting features and amenities to generate interest.
- Manage the leasing process from application intake to lease signing, ensuring all documentation is accurate and complete.
- Utilize Yardi and One Site property management software to enter data, track leads, and maintain organized records of leasing activities.
- Verify applicant information through background checks, credit reports, and legal documentation.
- Negotiate lease terms with applicants while ensuring compliance with Fair Housing laws, landlord-tenant law, and contractual obligations.
- Handle inquiries via phone, email, and in person with exceptional phone etiquette and customer relationship management skills.
- Collaborate with property maintenance teams to coordinate move-ins, address tenant concerns promptly, and uphold high standards of property upkeep.
- Maintain accurate filing systems for contracts, legal documents, and correspondence; ensure confidentiality at all times.
- Assist in conflict management by addressing tenant disputes professionally and seeking mutually beneficial resolutions.
- Support administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and updating CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) records as needed.
- 1 to 2 years of proven experience in property management or real estate administrative roles with a focus on leasing activities.
- Experience using Yardi or One Site property management software for data entry and lease tracking.
- Strong background in customer service combined with excellent negotiation skills to upsell available units or lease extensions effectively.
- Demonstrated ability to handle legal contracts accurately while maintaining compliance with all relevant regulations.
- Office experience involving filing systems, data entry, conflict resolution, and administrative support is essential.
- Knowledge of facilities management principles related to property maintenance coordination is a plus.
- Exceptional communication skills including professional phone etiquette; ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently.
