Here at Grounds Guys of Ballantyne, we are looking for someone ready to take a step forward in their career as a Landscaping Maintenance Team Lead. And as the company grows, you will have the opportunity to grow into a higher-level role as well.

Your Responsibilities as a Landscaping Maintenance Team Lead

• Manage the Field – you are the boots on the ground. You’ll be walking job sites, checking for quality control, and making sure equipment is maintained.
• Organize the team: help structure routes, manage employee schedules, and keep crew members organized and on task.
• Provide team support: find solutions for issues that come up among the staff and ensure team members have the training they need.
• Ensure everything is wrapped up and set to go for the next day.

• Attendance: the team lead sets the example in attendance for the rest of the team.

• Return Rates: ensure quality control so it’s rare to need to redo a job.
• Crew Retention: maintain a healthy team environment and accountability to reduce turnover.
• Customer Retention: build great relationships and ensure exceptional service to keep customers coming back.
• Full Utilization of Software & Processes: enabling the above through effective tools and processes.

• Prior experience in landscaping, lawn service, or similar service industries to lead a team.
• Knowledge of operating mowers, trimmers, tractors, etc., including preventative maintenance.
• If required, willingness to complete training to obtain all required certifications and licenses within 6 months.
• Clean driving history with experience driving a trailer.

The pay range for this position is $17 to $20 and is dependent on your experience as a lawncare or landscaping professional as well as in leading a team.
