Overview
Killingsworth Environmental, an Anticimex Carolinas company, provides comprehensive pest control and lawn care solutions for residential and commercial customers in North and South Carolina. We are looking for our next Lawn Care Treatment Technician. The Service Professional will perform lawn and shrub services, including fertilization, insect and disease control, weed control, aeration, and plant health care, for both residential and commercial clients.
The role requires a problem solver who can diagnose lawn and landscape issues, work outdoors, communicate effectively with supervisors, colleagues, and customers, and maintain a positive attitude daily.
Duties/Responsibilities- Maintains the overall health and appearance of the customers long and landscape by applying treatments at the proper time and rates to deliver the best results.
- Provides professional, prompt, and courteous customer service.
- Applies fertilizers and pesticides to lawns according to schedule, safety procedures, and label instructions.
- Performs seasonal aeration and over seeding using designated equipment.
- Keeps up to date on the company s product and service offerings.
- Drives a company vehicle safely to customers homes and businesses.
- Maintains vehicle and equipment through cleanliness, safety, and general maintenance.
- Performs daily DOT truck inspections.
- Completes required paperwork and communicates appropriately.
- Maintains company phone and any equipment associated with it.
- Assists in maintaining cleanliness of facility.
- Represents Killingsworth with honesty and integrity and maintains a professional appearance.
- Demonstrates the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Performs other related duties as required.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and strong interpersonal abilities.
- Solid problem-solving skills and proven time management.
- Able and willing to work in various weather conditions.
- Ability to operate lawn application equipment safely and effectively.
- Technical proficiency with computers, smartphones, etc.
- Must hold and maintain a valid driver s license with an acceptable driving record.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Requires 1–3 years of experience in the lawn/landscape industry.
- Ability to safely operate equipment.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds at times during the workday.
- Ability to tolerate a variety of environmental conditions, including extreme heat or cold.
- Exposure to animals and insects while outdoors for much of the day.
- Ability to work outdoors in various elements (cold, wind, heat, humidity, rain).
