Job Opportunity – Labor & Delivery RN – North Carolina

Start Date: April 13, 2026
Location: Charlotte, North Carolina
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 12-hour night shifts (18:45 - 07:15), 36 or 48 hours per week available; 13-26 week contracts; every other weekend minimum (6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule)

Highlights:

• High-volume birthing center with over 300 births per month and approximately 20 births per 24-hour period
• Comprehensive obstetrical care including labor and delivery, triage, high-risk antepartum and postpartum patients
• Advanced procedures including scheduled and unscheduled cesarean births and rescue cervical cerclage
• Epic charting system with Pyxis and SBAR protocols
• 24-hour orientation with interdisciplinary team support including pharmacy, respiratory, radiology, and rapid response
• Scrubs provided on-site

Requirements:

• Active RN license (North Carolina or Compact state)
• Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience required; 3 years strongly preferred
• Previous experience in high-volume facilities with 300+ births per month required
• Must be comfortable with double labor assignments as a daily occurrence
• Circulating for cesarean sections and sterile vaginal exam competency required
• Proficiency in immediate newborn care, triage of obstetrical patients, and high-risk antepartum care
• Epic charting system experience required
• Current certifications: BLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate (C-EFM accepted in lieu of AWHONN)
• Willingness to float to Special Maternity Care high-risk OB unit as needed
