Where You Will Work: Atrium Health Levine Summer Camp
This position is a temporary position supporting Camp Thunderbird in Lake Wylie, SC. We are seeking a temporary nurse to provide triage, assessment, and care for campers ages 7–16 throughout the summer season. This role supports the Health Center team in delivering high‑quality, compassionate care in a fast‑paced camp environment.
Key Details- Schedule: June 1st-August 8th; 12‑hour shifts
- Day Shift: 8:00 AM – 8:30 PM
- Evening Shift: 9:30 AM – 10:00 PM
- Rotation: Includes weekends on a rotating schedule
Setting: On‑site camp health center serving overnight and day campers
We’re Looking For- Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
- Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
- One year of Nursing experience needed
- Pediatric, Urgent care or ER experience preferred
- As a camp nurse you will provide first aid, triage illness/injuries, assist with virtual visits, perform point of care testing, assist/ supervise campers with self‑injections as needed, respond to any medical emergencies and help maintain the camp health center.
- Collaboration with camp staff to support camper health and safety
- Documentation and communication with parents/guardians as needed
