Registered Nurse – Neuro Intermediate Care (Full-Time, Days)

Schedule:
7am–7pm, Full-Time, Baylor Shift

Join a Team with HeartStep into a Neuro Intermediate Care unit where collaboration, strong clinical skills, and compassionate care make a meaningful difference for patients experiencing complex neurological conditions. Our dedicated team specializes in caring for patients who require close neurological monitoring and specialized interventions in a supportive, team‑focused environment.
What You’ll Do- Caring for patients with stroke, seizures, traumatic brain injuries, and other acute neurological conditions
- Performing frequent neurological assessments and monitoring for changes in patient status
- Managing patients with advanced neurological monitoring and specialized care plans
- Supporting patients recovering from neurosurgical procedures
- Collaborating closely with neurologists, neurosurgeons, and interdisciplinary care teams
- Education:
High School Diploma or GED, required. 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, preferred.- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required. If your RN nursing license has been inactive, retired or lapsed for five years or more and you have not been licensed in another state during the last five years, successful completion of a Board approved refresher course is required prior to reactivating or reinstating your license. In order to be considered for current licensure status, you must apply for reinstatement within one year of completing the refresher course.
- Experience:
One year relevant experience, preferred. - Licensure/Certification:
Current RN licensure in appropriate state, required. NC state approved curricula for restrictive interventions (facility specific) within 3 months of hire for Emergency Departments and Behavioral Health units, required.
