What We're Looking For

Novant Health Medical Group is looking for a compassionate, experienced Advanced Practice Nurse Practitioner to join a compassionate well-established full spectrum program offering inpatient, outpatient and community-based Hospice & Palliative care services in Charlotte, NC. Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary health team that promotes team wellness and career development opportunities.

Utilize your critical thinking and symptom management skills to elevate the care of the most vulnerable patients. Our dedicated team of physicians, nurse practitioners, nursing staff, chaplains, social workers, and other healthcare providers strive to ensure relief from the symptom burden and stress of a serious illness. We partner with our patients, families, and community to achieve the best quality of life.

Opportunity Highlights:

• Monday - Friday, 8-5
• Inpatient Palliative Care

Candidate Qualifications:

• Education: Master's Degree required. Master's degree in NP program or post Master's NP program.
• Licensure/Certification/Registration: Current NP license in appropriate state required. NCCPA or registry with state nursing board, BLS, DEA registry required.
• Prefer 1-3 years of NP experience in Hospice, Palliative Care and or Oncology

Responsibilities & Duties:

• This position will float to multiple sites in the Charlotte Region
  • Locations to include Presbyterian Medical Center, Matthews Medical Center, Mint Hill Medical Center, Ballantyne Medical Center, Huntersville Medical Center and Rowan Medical Center(Salisbury, NC, mileage included for travel to Rowan)
• As an inpatient consultant you will perform:
  Patient Assessments and Management, Interdisciplinary Team Collaboration, Patient and Family Education and Support, Symptom Management
• Hospice On-Call rotation, approximately 2 times a year
