We are seeking an experienced Travel Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) to join a dynamic healthcare team in North Carolina for a 13-week contract. The ideal candidate will bring strong clinical skills, adaptability, and a commitment to high-quality patient care in an acute care setting that includes Medical-Surgical, Telemetry, Progressive Care, and Swing Bed units. This is a night shift position with rotating weekend responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:Provide direct nursing care to a diverse patient population in a 20-bed Med-Surg unit with telemetry and swing bed functions
Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, monitor vitals, administer medications, and perform IV starts
Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to deliver coordinated patient care
Document care and maintain patient records in the EPIC EMR system
Safely manage a patient ratio of 1:6 for acute care and 1:10 for swing beds
Participate in patient education, discharge planning, and care transitions
Adhere to infection control protocols, hospital policies, and evidence-based nursing standards
Qualifications:Licensure: Current RN license in the state of North Carolina (Required)
Certifications:
Basic Life Support (BLS) – Required
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) – Required
Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of Medical-Surgical experience strongly preferred
Skills:
IV starts, nursing assessments, telemetry monitoring
Excellent communication and critical thinking abilities
EMR: Epic experience preferred
Candidates must attach a valid RN license and certifications (BLS, ACLS) with submission
Submission must include a driver’s license and permanent home address –

Travelers must live more than 50 miles from the facility –
local candidates will not be considered
