Voca Healthcare is seeking a travel nurse RN Pediatric Hematology / Oncology for a travel nursing job in Charlotte, North Carolina.

o Level 1 Pediatric Trauma Center
o Teaching Hospital
o Chest Pain Center
o Certified Stroke Center
o Congenital Cardiology ranked #7 by USNWR
o Radius rule:
Traveler s permanent address must be 50 miles outside of home unit
Required Experience:
2 years of Peds with strong Oncology/Hematology
BMT experience is highly preferred
Will you accept a first-time traveler? Yes, if they are a strong BMT RN
Patient Types/Common Diagnoses:
o Ages:
Neonate (more rare) to adults (if patient had childhood cancer treatment here, they will come to unit, even as an adult)
o On-Service :
Solid tumor cancers, Leukemia, Sickle cell, Aplastic anemia
Behavioral Health: unit will also commonly see BH Peds patients diagnoses to include but not limited to:
Pediatric behavioral/adjustment disorders, Suicidal Ideation, elopement, human trafficking
Required License:
o BLS, PALS
o APHON provider card. APHON is just a certificate (like NIHSS) CPHON and BMTCN are not required
Skills required:
Port access experience is a MUST, chemo administration, Blood product transfusion, cardiac rhythm interpretation. Comfortability with blood cultures/central line care; PCA pumps, Heparin
Preferred:
Bone marrow transplant experience with Day 0-2 is highly preferred. End of Life care Precedex gtt, Intransal Versed, Ketamine drips; chest tubes
