• Floating:
  Required within region and scope of practice (paid travel time between facilities)

• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg and Telemetry RN experience
• Active Registered Nurse license in North Carolina or compact state (NC RN license)
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Strong Med/Surg and Telemetry nursing skills: stroke care, cardiac rhythm interpretation, trach care, PIV starts, chest tube management, NGT placement, drain/tube management, PCA pumps
• Medication gtt management: cardiac drips, heparin, blood products, IV fluids
• Ability to float to all units within scope at Mercy and within the Charlotte healthcare region

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients with diagnoses such as CHF, COPD, chest pain, stroke symptoms, and respiratory issues
• Manage patient ratios of RN: 1:6 and collaborate with CNAs and clinical support staff
• Perform and document patient assessments, administer medications, and manage IVs and drains
• Work collaboratively with hospitalists, intensivists, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams
• Float to other units and facilities within the Charlotte region as needed
• Utilize Epic EMR and hospital technology for comprehensive patient care
