Registered Nurse​/ICU

This position is a Neuro ICU unit. The ideal candidate will have a strong Neuro Critical Care Background, with at least 2 years of experience in Neuro ICU.

Required skills and certifications include:

• Vents
• IV Start
• Neuro Intensive Care Unit
• Interpretation of dysrhythmias
• Management of dysrhythmias
• Blood Product Administration
• Central line care/management
• Continuous IV sedation
• CVA/Acute Stroke management
• External ventricular drains (EVD)
• ICP Monitoring
• Post Neurosurgery management
• Care of Ventilated Patient
• Isolation Precautions/ Use of PPE
• Lumbar Drain experience

Certs: ACLS, BCLS, NIH

Preferred skills include arterial line management.

Job details:

• Ratios: 2:1 (can flex up to 3:1 in high census)
• Shift: 12-hour nights (18:45 - 07:15)
• Unit will accept 13 weeks
• Call requirement: none
• Float requirement: yes
• Weekend requirement: every other weekend

Patient diagnoses include strokes, SDH, craniotomies, carotid stents, and more. Special procedures and unit details include comprehensive stroke center, EVDs, LDs, hemovacs, and more.
