Role

Summary:

Provides care and support to pediatric heart and VAD transplant patients and families. The coordinator manages all aspects of transplant care—pre‑transplant evaluation, education, and post‑transplant follow‑up—while guiding families through the process with compassion and expertise. Works with a multidisciplinary team to help patients achieve optimal outcomes.

We’re Looking For:
  • Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing.
  • Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the candidate practices.
  • BLS for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association.
  • Three years of nursing experience.
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required. BSN required. RN candidates for external hire or internal promotion without BSN must be enrolled in a BSN program upon hire/transfer and complete the program within 3 years.
What You’ll Do:
  • Provide comprehensive nursing care through skillful assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation in accordance with policies, procedures, and protocols under nursing supervision.
  • Work with patients and families from evaluation through the transplant process.
  • Assist in maintaining a safe work environment and perform related responsibilities safely.
  • Maintain clinical and professional competency appropriate to patient population.
