Pay Range

$38.20 - $57.30

Additional $5/hr float pool differential once off orientation period.

The Pediatric Satellite Team provides supplemental staffing across Atrium Health Levine Children s Hospital (LCH) in Charlotte, NC, and occasionally Atrium Health Cabarrus Levine Children s Jeff Gordon Children s Center (JGCC) in Concord, NC. RNs primarily support general pediatric medical-surgical units, with the ability to cross-train in specialty areas within Levine Children s Hospital (e.g., Children's ED, CVICU, PICU, Neonatal, Progressive) and obtain Chemo certification.

Candidates must have at least 6 months of RN experience; this position is not for new graduates.

Atrium Health Levine Children s Hospital (LCH) has taken the community to another level of service to provide care for the growing population of children in our region. At 247 beds, LCH is the largest children s hospital between Atlanta and Washington DC. It serves high-acuity patients as the flagship children s hospital within Atrium Health and offers a full complement of over 125 pediatric subspecialists in over 30 pediatric specialties.

We have 4 pediatric hospitalist teams, a 10-bed PICU, a 10-bed Cardiac ICU (expanding to 24-bed PICU and 20-bed CVICU by end of 2024), an 85-bed Level IV NICU, and an inpatient pediatric rehabilitation floor. Levine Children s Hospital is also Charlotte s only Level 1 Pediatric Trauma Center. LCH has been named a Best Children s Hospital by U.S. News & World Report for 17 consecutive years and is nationally ranked in 10 pediatric specialties.

Magnet designation has been earned by Atrium Health Carolinas Medical Center and Atrium Health Levine Children s Hospital from the American Nurses Credentialing Center s Magnet Recognition Program.

Atrium Health Levine Children s Jeff Gordon Children s Center (JGCC) is a 28-bed children s unit within Atrium Health Cabarrus serving surrounding counties. It is a general pediatric, Progressive Care, and Epilepsy unit and houses the region s only dedicated pediatric Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU). JGCC is part of Atrium Health Levine Children s, which includes Levine Children s Hospital.

JOB SUMMARY

The RN Clinical Nurse provides comprehensive nursing care through assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation in accordance with facility or department policies, procedures, and/or protocols under the supervision of the nursing leader. The RN Clinical Nurse assists in maintaining a safe work environment and performs all related job responsibilities safely. The RN Clinical Nurse maintains clinical and professional competency as appropriate to the population of patients served.
