Hours:

Part time, Days (no weekends/holidays/call)

Schedule:

PREP 6a-2:30p, POST 7a-4p

Responsibilities:

• Serve as a leader of the healthcare team at Novant Health, establishing an authentic personalized relationship with patients and support systems.
• Collaborate with physicians and team members to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized plans of care promoting optimal health or supporting a peaceful death.
• Utilize best scientific evidence and compassion to assist patients in navigating their health journey.
• Accept responsibility, authority, and accountability for management and provision of care in accordance with current policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

• Education:
  
  2 Year / Associate Degree, required. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, preferred.
• Experience:
  
  One year of ASC, PACU or operating room experience, preferred.
• Licensure/Certification:
  Current RN licensure in appropriate state, required. ACLS and PALS, preferred.
• Additional Skills (required):
  Must have a thorough understanding of RN role and ability to carry out functions as stated in NC nurse practice act. Ability to set priorities and organize workload of unit. Knowledge and skills necessary to modify care according to patient age. Ability to interpret information to identify each patient’s requirements for care relative to age-specific needs. Proficient in telephone screening and interviewing skills.
