• Provides personal hygiene care, including bathing, grooming, shaving, nail and skin care.
• Toilets/assists in bowel and bladder needs: gives bedpans, urinals, assists with toilet/bedside commode use, changes incontinent briefs all with attention to perineal/skin care.
• Helps residents dress and eat: assists with meals and feeds residents, monitors feeding to include passing trays, between meal nourishments, supplements, ice water, measuring intake and output, calorie count, determining percentage of meals eaten
• Provides preventative care to include ROM, positioning and repositioning, appropriate application of physical restraints.
• Demonstrates dependability through punctuality and consistent attendance.
• Other duties as assigned

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Successful completion of a state approved nurse aid program AND currently listed on the North Carolina State Registry
• Must read, write, and communicate effectively in English with residents and staff, following oral and written directions.
• Lift up to 50lbs continuously and over 100lbs frequently

• Geriatric experience and CDM
