CPI Security is looking to hire a Manager of Public Relations and Partnerships for a full-time position, in office in Charlotte, North Carolina. The Manager of PR & Partnerships will lead CPI’s public relations and strategic partnership efforts to enhance brand visibility and reputation. This role drives media relations, crisis communications, and the development of community, sports, and commercial partnerships that deliver measurable business and community impact. You will also oversee community events and experiential marketing to strengthen CPI’s local presence. Collaborating closely with marketing, sales, and creative teams, you will ensure consistent messaging and integrated campaigns that support lead generation and customer engagement.

- Develop and execute impactful PR strategies that generate positive media coverage aligned with business goals
- Manage media relations including press releases, pitching stories, and maintaining journalist / influencer relationships
- Monitor and report on media mentions, tracking PR effectiveness and proactively managing brand reputation
- Oversee crisis communications planning and response, including CEO and executive media monitoring
- Collaborate with leadership to share key messaging and narratives
- Build, negotiate, and manage a diverse portfolio of strategic partnerships—including community organizations, commercial alliances, and sponsor ships—that deliver measurable impact.
- Evolve CPI’s sports and events program into a holistic partnership model aligned with brand and business objectives.
- Evaluate partnership performance, ensuring every collaboration supports brand visibility, ROI, and community connection.
- Oversee CPI’s community events and experiential marketing strategies to ensure strong brand presence and meaningful local engagement.
- Manage event strategy, logistics, partner integration, and vendor relationships.
- Strengthen CPI’s role as an active community partner in the regions we serve.
- Work closely with the creative team to ensure consistency in messaging across owned, paid and earned media channels.
- Partner with sales, commercial and other cross functional teams to align PR and partnerships efforts with demand generation goals.
- Facilitate communication and planning with the broader marketing team for integrated campaigns.
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or related field.
- 4+ years of experience in PR, partnerships, community engagement, or related roles—preferably within B2B/B2C or security/technology sectors.
- Proven track record managing media relations and generating measurable press coverage.
- Strong event planning and partnership activation experience, ideally with sports or community organizations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a knack for storytelling and messaging.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills; comfortable working cross-functionally and externally.
- Proficiency with media monitoring and PR analytics tools preferred.
- Experience working in or closely with the news industry is a strong advantage.
