R Shop Laborer (Open) – Charlotte, NC
Location:
Charlotte, NC - N. Graham St - Welding equipment rental
Under the direction of the Branch Manager, the incumbent will service and maintain equipment, ensure a clean working environment and assist other technicians in the shop as needed. Equipment includes gas/diesel welders and generators, electrical inverter and transformer based machines, plasma cutters, and electrical/mechanical positioning equipment.
Responsibilities- Maintains a safe working environment by following Airgas/Red-D-Arc s health and safety guidelines.
- Test and calibrate machines to see if they are functional for rent or sale.
- Repaint parts, touch up paint, and put decals on welders to keep up the general appearance.
- Replace defective parts and do any preventative maintenance required.
- Get parts as required in order to complete repairs.
- Inspect returned equipment for proper operation and/or damage by the customer.
- Operate a forklift, pallet jack or other necessary equipment to move machines and equipment in the shop.
- Maintains communication with all branch personnel.
- Performs other related operational/shop duties as required.

- High school diploma or equivalent required.
