In this pivotal position, you will help ensure the uninterrupted supply of virgin and recycled plastic resins and related raw materials, striking a balance between cost, quality, and delivery performance. You’ll collaborate closely with suppliers, the materials team, and cross‑functional partners to keep our manufacturing lines running smoothly and efficiently.

• Issue timely purchase orders for raw materials and supplies
• Plan, create, and process requisitions and purchase orders based on plant needs
• Track orders and ensure on‑time deliveries
• Analyze invoices and billing details to ensure accuracy of raw materials delivered
• Maintain and update purchase order records in ERP system
• Close incomplete PO’s as needed
• Identify and build strong relationships with key suppliers
• Negotiate pricing, terms, quality expectations, and delivery deadlines
• Communicate regularly with suppliers, schedule meetings, and coordinate projects as needed to address and resolve supply‑related issues
• Measure and track supplier performance based on cost, quality, deliverables, and service levels

• Collaborate with Quality Assurance for raw material inspections upon delivery
• Initiate corrective actions with vendors as necessary
• Participate in cycle counts and reconcile data discrepancies
• Work closely with internal teams to address any supply chain disruptions or material quality issues

• Work alongside finance, sales, operations, and logistics to resolve procurement issues and concerns
• Analyze market trends and supplier performance data to support procurement decisions and continuous improvement
• Assist with other projects or tasks as needed

• Experience:
  • 3+ years in procurement or supply chain, preferably in a manufacturing or plastics environment
  • Strong negotiation, analytical, and critical thinking abilities
  • Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Flexible, detail‑oriented, and eager to grow in a newly created role
