Position: Maintenance Technician (Injection Molding Manufacturing)

Overview

Maintenance Technician (Injection Molding Manufacturing) role at Schaefer Plastics North America, LLC. This position offers a base pay range of $30.00/hr - $37.00/hr a sign-on bonus of $1,000 is included for new hires. The company specializes in injection molding and sustainable waste and packaging solutions, with a focus on customer care and growth opportunities.

This is currently a third-shift position (11:00 PM—7:00 AM) which will transition into a 2-2-3, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM schedule.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate shop equipment, including milling machines, band saws, drill presses, lathes, welders, concrete drills, torches, and electrical testers.
  • Properly use a variety of powered and non-powered hand tools.
  • Obtain training and certification for forklift and aerial lift operation as required.
  • Utilize the overhead crane in compliance with OSHA requirements.
  • Assist with mold changes on injection molding machines.
  • Troubleshoot and repair injection molding and auxiliary equipment.
  • Maintain facility services, including water, compressed air, and electrical supply.
  • Perform preventive maintenance as scheduled and complete assigned work orders using a computerized PM system.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and housekeeping standards.
  • Accurately document all maintenance activities.
  • Identify and communicate the need for spare or replacement parts.
  • Follow all safety procedures, including:
    • Lockout/tagout
    • Fall protection
    • Electrical safe work practices
    • Personal protective equipment requirements
What We Require
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in injection molding maintenance or completion of a maintenance training program.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to diagnose electrical and electronic systems.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
