The Warehouse Associate position is generally responsible for safely and accurately moving, transporting, coordinating and/or expediting flow of materials, parts, and assemblies within the Boston Gear facility with the objective of meeting or exceeding internal and external customer expectations.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities- Receive and inspect incoming shipments
- Pick material and deliver to appropriate area(s)
- Enter shipments into designated computer system
- Stage and store materials in proper locations
- If applicable, scan the material using a computer and SAP application
- Responsible for proper care of powered industrial equipment
- Maintain 5S to ensure the work area is kept clean and orderly at all times
- Operate forklift/powered vehicle in a safe manner at all times
- Other duties as assigned

- Basic proficiency with computers, including the ability to accurately enter and search for data
- Proficient in English language skills, including effective verbal and written communication
- Willingness and ability to work extended hours, including overtime and weekends (e.g. during physical inventory), as required
- High School diploma or GED equivalency from an accredited institution is desired.
Physical Demands: Potential physical demands include, but are not limited to: frequent walking, standing, twisting, carrying and handling; regular bending, stooping and kneeling; regular lifting up to 50 lbs.; occasional climbing, pushing and pulling. Potential sensory demands include but are not limited to: hearing and seeing. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
Work Environment: Majority of time is spent in a manufacturing production environment with some (but not all) climate-controlled areas. Personal protective safety equipment must be worn, and proper safety precautions must be observed. Potential exposure may include, but is not limited to: solvents, dusts, noise, heat, outside weather conditions, cramped spaces, and building construction areas.
