Overview
Summary of Position: Roo Maven is looking for a CNC (Computer Numerical Control) Programmer. This position is responsible for CNC routers, edge banding machines, and table saws. The CNC Programmer will contribute to the creation of a standardized tooling library, waste reduction, and routers in manufacturing engineering. Utilize a high-level understanding of CAD software and Solid Works, and/or Fusion 360 to produce precision metal, cabinetry, wood, or plastic parts.
The role supports efficient production processes, high-quality output, and adherence to strict specifications and safety standards. Collaboration with other team members on various machines is required to maintain the production schedule. This position offers opportunities to work with other professionals and lead projects from conception through production.
- Design specifications for Custom Cabinet manufacturing.
- Program (2D and 3D) and set up the CNC machine for production.
- Operate CNC machines, mills, lathes, saws, drill presses, grinders, EDM machines, and CAD software to optimize machining processes and improve efficiency.
- Configure and run the CNC machine based on specifications and blueprints to meet production requirements.
- Remake damaged parts and pieces of production for accurate tracking.
- Change and maintain router bits and tools to ensure efficient operation.
- Be responsible for highly repetitive types of short-cycle machine operations associated with quantity production machining, cutting, and banding laminating products to very close tolerances.
- Collaborating and resolving issues at work with other engineering teammates, sales, and production staff.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural and interior design drawings.
- Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
- Be proficient in programming languages in both G-code and M-code.
- CNC Programming with any of the 3 axis is preferred.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Proficiency in CAD software (2020 Design a plus).
- Strong understanding of woodworking materials, cabinet construction techniques, and design layout.
- Education of a 3-year degree to be better in Mechanical/Production Engineering, Industrial Design, Manufacturing, or equivalent experience.
- GED or bachelor’s degree above (preferred).
- Computer skills required consist of the ability to use the internet, email system, and being proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
- Occasional lifting of up to 40 pounds.

Pay Range: $65,000 Annually. FLSA:
Salary, Exempt.
Schedule: This position is full-time - 40 hours/week with a schedule Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM.
