We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Technical Assembler II to join the team at our client’s Charlotte, NC facility. This is a production assembly line position where you will assemble electrical and mechanical components, operate machines, and perform visual inspections of components and subassemblies to ensure quality and compliance.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL DUTIES- Assemble components and sub-assemblies according to work instructions and specifications
- Read and interpret assembly drawings, schematics, and plant directives
- Operate machines and tools safely and efficiently
- Perform visual inspections of components and subassemblies for quality and accuracy
- Maintain accuracy and timeliness in completing work assignments
- Lift and carry materials up to 50 lbs on an intermittent basis
- Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to PPE and safety protocols
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot and solve assembly issues
- Complete and maintain all required documentation
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to read instructions and operate equipment safely
- Stand for long periods and perform frequent lifting, bending, and reaching
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
- Limited understanding of PLCs, VFDs, circuit breakers, and NEMA enclosure ratings
- Knowledge of wire gauges, colors, and ampacities
- Ability to read, write, and comprehend plant directives in English
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to use a tape measure and perform simple math
- Basic understanding of schematics, mechanical assembly, and electrical assembly
- Ability to work in a team environment while collaborating and troubleshooting
- Must adhere to PPE requirements (eye, hand, and foot protection)
- Able to pass a pre-employment physical and drug test
