**** Join us as our new Manager for our Fermentation
** As a Manager in the fermentation you will be responsible for leading the daily operations and driving the development of the fermentation department at Site Fuglebakken. The fermentation process is the first step in production of enzymes for a large portfolio of industries primary at Fuglebakken within Food and Feed.
You also have to ensure safe, efficient and high-quality production, fostering a collaborative culture, and setting the direction for continuous improvement. You will manage a dedicated team.. You will oversee a team consisting of 5 production teams, a day shift team, and 5 technicians/supporters, all organized under 3 dedicated team leaders who report directly to you.
** Welcome to Site Fuglebakken
** The Fuglebakken site comprises three main production departments:
Fermentation, Recovery, and Spray Drying. In addition, it includes a dedicated Maintenance Department and a Process & Technology Department that provide essential support for the production operations.
The site employs approximately 150 people.
** In this role you’ll make an impact by:
*** Leading and managing the fermentation production department to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality operations while meeting production targets
* Living the Novonesis Culture Commitments and keep ensuring a thriving organization with focus on safety, work environment and engaged cross functional team-work
* Driving continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities for process optimization, enhancing production efficiency, and reducing operational waste
* Collaborating with cross-functional teams including Recovery, Spray Drying, Maintenance, and Process & Technology to align on goals and deliver seamless production processes
* Ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards, and proactively addressing any challenges within the fermentation processes
Main responsibilities will involve setting clear priorities for the fermentation teams, empowering employees through effective leadership, and contributing to the site’s overall strategic objectives. You will play a key role in the local plant leadership team while also engaging with the broader stakeholders within Novonesis.
** To succeed you must:
*** Hold Bachelor's or Master’s degree in engineering or related field
* Have 5 years of leadership experience within a similar production area
* Have effective communication and interpersonal skills
* Be fluent in Danish and English
* Be able to coach and support team leaders to ensure alignment with strategic goals and their personal growth. Demonstrate strong leadership abilities with a proven ability to motivate and inspire teams toward achieving shared goals
* Be highly organized and results-driven, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously
* Be able to demonstrate a commitment to safety, quality, and sustainability, ensuring compliance with internal and external standards at all times
* Adapt to change and thrive in a dynamic environment, staying proactive and innovative in addressing new challenges or opportunities
* Have experience working in cross-functional teams, collaborating effectively with departments such as Maintenance, Process & Technology, and Quality Assurance.
