Shock Technician

Duties include preparation and maintenance of shock components, as well as documenting shock combinations and set up.
** Essential Duties and Responsibilities*
* ** include the following:*
* * Builds shocks and stop bumps in an efficient manner under critical time constraints.
* Uses shock dynamometer to adjust shocks to match desired specifications.
* Utilizes database to record measurements and track component mileage for reference.
* Assists Crew Chief in identifying the best shock and bump stop combination for testing and utilization during race events.
* Assists in the management of parts inventory relating to shocks.
* Other duties as assigned by management

Ability to operate and interpret shock dyno graphs.

* Scheduled shifts may include evening hours, weekends, and holidays.

** Physical Demands:
*** Requires vision (near, distance, color, peripheral, depth), sense of touch, and ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) – safety glasses.
* Constantly manually manipulates, lifts/carries 10 pounds or less, and pushes/pulls 12 pounds or less.
* Frequently stands, walks, reaches outward, bends, lifts/carries up to 20 pounds, and pushes/pulls up to 25 pounds.
* Occasionally sits, reaches above shoulder, squats or kneels, lifts/carries up to 50 pounds, and pushes/pulls up to 100 pounds.
