Warehousing & Distribution Manager for Supply Chain

Overview

Warehousing & Distribution Manager is responsible for Logistics Operations, Warehousing Management Capability development, Automation, Transportation Management and optimization across the logistics footprint in North America including Canada and Mexico. Reporting directly to the Director Supply Chain NA Rigid Paper division, as a Logistics Specialist, you will perform this role within the North American supply chain.

Responsibilities
  • Strategic Planning: Design a blueprint for an efficient Warehousing Management Solution as part of the logistics strategy. This involves assessment, alignment and execution across all manufacturing plants.
  • Team Leadership: Manage a metrics team across the manufacturing footprint. Operate in a metrics-driven environment to improve operations and drive automation in daily activities. Collaborate with the Corporate Transportation team to drive synergies.
  • Supply Chain Management: Act as the spider in the web of the supply chain. Responsible for inbound and outbound supply chain. Develop, track and implement track-and-trace tools to improve delivery performance.
  • Inventory Management: Drive inventory accuracy and reduce losses in logistics operations.
  • Cost Optimization: Identify opportunities to reduce costs without compromising efficiency, including optimizing transportation routes and implementing cost-effective technologies across warehousing.
  • Risk Management: Anticipate potential disruptions and implement contingency plans. Maintain safety as a top priority across the footprint.
  • Technology Integration: Implement and optimize logistics management software (WMS/TMS), RFID, and other technologies to elevate logistics performance.
  • Continuous Improvement: Foster a culture of continuous improvement, seeking ways to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in a changing logistics landscape.
  • Customer Satisfaction: Ensure products reach customers on time and in good condition, driving OTIF improvement.

This position is located at our Charlotte, NC satellite office and is near destinations such as Myrtle Beach, SC;
Charleston, SC;
Columbia, SC; and Hartsville, SC.

Qualifications
  • Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain with 6-8 years in Logistics Operations in a mid-sized corporate environment. Experience with corporate functions is advantageous.
  • Knowledge and hands-on experience deploying WMS.
  • Knowledge of TMS and freight optimization models.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 40% of the time.
  • Operating knowledge of Oracle WM/TM, Track-and-Trace tools.
Compensation & Benefits

The annual base salary range for this role is from $ to $, plus an annual target bonus of 12.5% of base salary.

If applicable, an annual incentive may be awarded to eligible employees upon attaining various business and individual goals as defined by the Company and the department leader. This annual incentive is discretionary, and the Company has sole discretion to determine the amount of the award.
